ROAD TO GLORY! Peggy Kannaday The Road to Glory is Upward! The Road to Glory! Peggy Kannaday Many Christians are still trying to get God to do what they want. Few have walked on the straight and narrow road which is paved and marked by the Lord Jesus Christ. The Road to Life starts with the Golden Rule and it ends on a street paved in the gold of God's glory. Matthew 7:12-15, "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." There is a crossroad where the Christian either says, "My will be done" or "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done". We go our own way or we seek the Kingdom of God first. At the crossroad in the Christian life, we can take the low road which is broad and well-traveled, or we can take the high road which is straight and narrow and few take this way in comparison. Jesus says, to come, deny ourselves, take up our crosses and follow Him. His way is narrow and straight, and His way is the only Way, Truth and Life. When we enter into the straight and narrow way; all of heavens resources are at our disposal. However, if we choose the broad way, all of the enemy's resources are given to us in order to deceive, tempt and keep us away from the high road. We choose in other way but The Way then we have given a license for the enemy to work in our lives. Anything that is not of faith in God will activate the evil one, but anything we do in faith and trust in almighty God will bring His blessings, His approval and His mighty power. Our goal in the Christian life is to be formed into the image of God's Son, Jesus Christ. We can only find Him on the road that He constructed for us to walk on. He has planned the way, He has provided the rest stops, the food (manna from heaven), the drink (the living water), and the vehicle (the Holy Spirit). He wants us to walk on the highway of life that He has already walked on victoriously. It is a walk where all of our desires, and selfish-ambitions have been laid to rest along the wayside. It is a road that we can travel as fast as we allow the Holy Spirit to take over the driver's seat. This road is always moving onward and upward toward the God of glory who has paved this road with His love, faith and hope toward us, His people. Proverbs 16:17, "The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul." He is praying for our safe journey, and He has provided much grace and mercy along the way. Today, could be the day of making the crossover to the Road of Glory that leads to the Kingdom of God. It is our decision as to which road we will take, the high road or the low road that leads to destruction. Each day we walk on a road called "life", and each day we will come to a place of decision (a crossroad/s), and by the wisdom, knowledge and grace of God we can make the correct decision, and then He will do the rest. We put our total trust in the Lord to lead us in the right direction because: Proverbs 14:12, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." I pray that all of those who read this message will decide right now to always take the high road which leads to the King, Jesus Christ. This road will be difficult and it will lead into wildernesses where we will learn the most, but we will never be alone on this road. When we take His Way, He (Jesus Christ) is right there with us at all times. Hebrews 13:5, "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."
